Melinis Savannah

This beautiful grass starts slowly with a well rounded mound of blue green foliage. As the blooms form you begin to see the shimmering ruby tufts that slowly fade to shades of pink then white. Late fall the foliage will turn a rich reddish purple. Makes a stunning accent in containers with its graceful sprawl but not too large to overtake the planting. The compact nature of this plant is also a good characteristic because it does not split apart in late season with weather events. Scroll down for more photos.
