Helenium

Mariachi Fuego

The Mariachi Helenium series is a dwarf variety that reaches approximately 20 inches in height as opposed to the common Helenium height of 3-5 feet. Plants are compact and bushy. The well branched habit ensures an abundance of flowers that seem to cover the green foliage for several months of show.

The common name "Sneezeweed" comes not from its pollen producing ability but from its historic use where it was ground into a snuff and used to induce sneezing to ward off evil spirits. It won't cause an allergic reaction any more than other plants in your garden.

Fuego is vivid with its orange and golden yellow petals in a daisy-like pattern showing off a deep brown center button. Great for a cutting garden, butterfly garden, landscape mass plantings or mixed containers.
