- Planting & Care
- Early Spring
- Partial Sun
Guacamole is a quick grower with good sun tolerance. Fragrant flowers on scapes approximately 36 inches tall. Late summer bloomer.
Care & Maintenance:
In our Southern Region with heavy clay soils it is necessary to amend the bed area to create planting spaces that are moist and well drained providing improved aeration for the root system. Most hostas will prefer shady, woodland areas but are often tolerant of morning sun conditions. The Guacamole Hosta will become brighter with the increased sunlight displaying more chartreuse green centers with the deeper green margin. Hostas can be divided in either spring or fall but they can be left alone for years without much attention other than keeping the critters away.
