Ferns - Perennial
Arborvitae FernSelaginella braunii
This lovely plant adds great texture and rich green color to your shaded garden but it's not really a fern or an arborvitae, it's in a family of spikemosses. Use in moist but well drained soils in partial to shaded areas. The club moss will form a matted ground cover that quickly shades out weeds. It's easy to grow, deer resistant and can tolerate heavy shade.
Slow growing, semi-evergreen ground cover. Very low maintenance.
