Thyme serpyllum, "Pink Chintz"
Thyme Pink Chintz makes a wonderful ground cover for areas that are sandy and nutrient poor with good drainage. This woody ground cover will fill in with a slight hairy texture and tiny oval shaped leaves that are lightly scented. Blooming in Early Spring will produce a carpet of pink color.
Use in spaces where light foot traffic can release the scent when brushed. Great for filling in crevices between stepping stones, creeping over rock walls, and perennial borders. We also like to pair with pansies for winter companions in mixed containers to soften the edges and give a little spill.
