Growth Characteristics:
Vigorous plants with a mounding and spreading growth habit are great for hanging baskets, containers and landscape beds.
Care & Maintenance:
Supertunias are self cleaning and will not require deadheading. The keep them performing at their very best, add a slow release fertilizer at planting then fertilize with a liquid feed weekly as the summer heat sets in.
In July, give the plant a good trim just after the July 4th Holiday, add some more slow release fertilizer and continue to liquid feed every week. You can trim to the bottom of the pot or just the long branches. A good rule of thumb is about 20% off the long growth.
Petunias are heavy feeders and can respond well to a light liquid feed every time you water. Keep up the trimming as needed and you will be rewarded with bounds of beautiful blooms.
